The Facts About CERAFIT ™ Bio-Ceramic Technology

CERAFIT ™ is the trade name for an exciting technology that is the secret behind the effectiveness of iRAY ™ sport and support wraps.

CERAFIT ™ is a unique blend of cotton and elastic fibers that are infused with bio-ceramic material. Each of our products is certified to contain a high content of the highly bioactive substance that emits FAR Infrared Radiation, or FIR. FIR has many known and documented effects on both injury prevention and healing in the human body (see our clinical fact sheet for details).

Bio-Ceramic: Specialized FIR Absorbers

The foundation of our CERAFIT ™ technology is derived from raw ceramic materials imported from Japan (where FIR technology has been successfully used for years to treat such conditions as heart disease, ulcers, and other conditions). This natural ceramic material is blended with various minerals known to increase FIR absorption (including silica oxide and aluminum oxide). These elements are heated together at a high temperature then allowed to cool.

After the heating and cooling process, the resulting ceramic/mineral mix is highly capable of absorbing and emitting FAR infrared radiation. This radiation provides healing effects including increased blood circulation, immune stimulation, joint insulation and other beneficial effects on the human body.

Bio-Ceramic Offers Better Safety

One of the advantages of the bio-ceramic materials used in CERAFIT ™ is that unlike magnetic materials, bio-ceramic will not interfere with pacemakers, or cause harmful effects to women and children. There is no risk of electrical shock with this naturally grounded substance.

Once the bio-ceramic material cools, it is ground into a fine, microscopic powder that is literally embedded into the elastic fibers of our iRAY® products.

Bio-Ceramic-Infused Fabric

Many products that claim to use "bio-ceramic" technology consist of merely dots pasted or laminated onto the fabric. The amount is ineffective and the dots can wash off or break. iRay, however, weaves the bio-ceramic into the fibers, making it an integral part of the fabric used in each iRAY product. Our wraps and supports can be washed and used over and over while retaining the full FIR-producing bio-ceramic within their weave.

The bio-ceramic in our CERAFIT ™ wraps and supports actually absorbs FAR infrared radiation from the atmosphere and even your own body, and transmits it to where healing is needed most: beneath the surface of the skin. Our FIR products increase circulation and healing.

The Comfort Of Mycro ™

Integrated bio-ceramic is just part of the iRAY story. Once the elastic wrap is impregnated with bio-ceramic, Each CERAFIT ™ wrap is crafted to fit comfortably and provide mild compression where it's needed most. The patented strap technology is much more comfortable and reliable than traditional strap. We call this Mycro™ technology because the hooks all point in the same direction providing a smoother, more comfortable fit than other methods without skin irritation.
